Manureva Aquafest 2017! 5-action packed days for all ages and abilities in events such as kiteboarding freestyle,races and big air, paddle boarding, swimming and more.
CIKA is now in it’s 7th year of hosting Manureva Aquafest. Along with an unwaivering passion for the sport the members and executive of the CIKA designed the event to showcase the beautiful lagoon of Aitutaki as a kiteboarding destination for international travelers and grown the sport locally.
Kiteboarding continues to grow world wide. Even former U.S President Barack Obama learned how to kiteboard!
Every year our event has grown with supporters and participants. The amazinf marketing images for the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation to capitalize on bringing tourist to our national and getting them to visit the outer islands is unsurpassed.
One major outcome of the event that needs to be highlighted is the growth of the juniors and women’s kiteboarding division. This is in both number of participants and skill level.
